Program Overview

Launch your vision care career with our focused 48-hour Ophthalmic Assistant program. Learn to support eye care professionals through hands-on clinical and administrative training.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Conducting diagnostic tests
  • Recording and measuring vision
  • Testing eye function
  • Instructing patients in contact lens insertion and care
  • Preparing examination rooms
  • Cleaning and arranging equipment
  • Answering phones and making appointments
  • Handling bookkeeping and other administrative tasks

Ophthalmic Assistants work in eye and vision care clinics and other facilities that provide vision care services.

Admission Requirements

Tuition, Books and Fees

  • $50 – Non-refundable Registration Fee (paid online or in person, transferable one time)
  • $750 – Tuition
  • $100 – Textbook (may be purchased at the school)

Total Program Cost: $900

Certification Fees

  • $110 – AAH National Certification (payable to AAH after last day of class)

Payment Plans / Financial Assistance

Full Payment:
Due by the first day of class

Payment Plans:
A two-payment plan is available

    • Divides tuition and lab fees accordingly
    • Includes 2% finance fee on tuition only
